    Abstract:

Abstract:Large numbers of coral and fusulinid fossils were collected from the strata originally assigned to the Upper Carboniferous Qiati'er Group in the Chalukou area of the northern Qiangtang block, West Kunlun, during geological mapping and cross-section measurements of the Hongshanhu area of the 1:250,000 Chalukou Sheet. Their ages were determined to be late Early Permian-early Middle Permian. These fossils provide a basis for the determination of the age of this sequence of strata, fill in a gap of the Early-Mid Permian strata in the Chalukou area of the northern Qiangtang block, West Kunlun, and offer new baseline information for the intensive study of the stratigraphic sequence framework in the northern Qiangtang block, West Kunlun.
