    Abstract:

A detailed survey of geological disasters at the scales of 1:50000 in Yajiang city was conducted by Chengdu Center of China Geological Survey in 2010, with the intention of finding out the development characteristics and mechanisms of geological disasters in the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Garze. The characteristics, distribution and geological conditions of the geological disasters in the region were identified by remote sensing, survey, engineering mapping and exploration. In order to further utilise these data, we processed them with standard data processing methods and a quality control system. The survey dataset could provide a geological basis for engineering geological research, disaster prevention and disaster reduction, as well as the development of regional disaster prevention planning.
