    Abstract:

The orebodies in the Tongjiangling copper-tungsten mining area generally strike northeast and dip southeast, and occur as layers and lenses near the contact zone between the granodiorite porphyry and carbonate of the Maokou Formation. The ore minerals are mainly composed of chalcopyrite and scheelite. The metallogenic magmatic rocks in this area are granodiorite porphyry with zircon U-Pb age of (143.31+0.62) Ma. Mineralization zoning in the Tongjiangling mining area is characterized by "copper in the upper part and copper and tungsten in the lower part". The contact zone between Carboniferous and Ordovician carbonate rocks and granodiorite porphyry or the Wutong plane and the silica-calcium interface formed during Ordovician-Silurian in the mining area have a great potential for tungsten exploration.
