Abstract:
This paper is the result of Mineral exploration engineering.
Objective Rock crystal is an important non-metal, one of the gemstones, and can also be used as a raw material mine for high-purity quartz. Rock crystal mine in China has a poor resource endowment, with piezoelectric crystal reserves of 18687 kg, smelting crystal reserves of 418.70 t, and process crystal reserves of 52 kg, and the number of reserves is low.
Methods By collecting public information, this paper summarizes the rock crystal deposits' genesis types, distribution, and industrial application.
Results Rock crystal deposits can be divided into two kinds: endogenic and exogenic, of which endogenic deposits can be divided into pegmatite type, hydrothermal type, skarn type, and exogenic deposits are mainly placer type, which can be divided into residue-slope type and slope-alluvial type. Hydrothermal rock crystal deposits are the main industrial type. The world's rock crystal deposits are mainly distributed in Brazil, which accounts for 90% of the world's resource reserves. China's rock crystal deposits are primarily distributed in Guangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, and other places.
Conclusions Based on previous research information, although synthetic rock crystal technology has been quite mature, natural rock crystal still has an important development and utilization of significance. Many regions in China have large potential for finding minerals, such as Guangxi, Guangdong, Heilongjiang, etc., which have many authigenic deposits, and the eastern coastal area is located in the Dabie-Sulu ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic belt.
