    Abstract:

Abstract:The characteristics of regional organic pollutants are analyzed on the basis of three field analyses of water samples, and numerical modeling of transport of TCE and PCE in groundwater of the study area using GMS and the parameters obtained from indoor experiments and domestic and foreign references. The results of modeling indicate that biodegradation exists in groundwater of the area, but the rate of reaction is very low. This suggests that the concentrations of TCE and PCE are probably maintained at a fairly high level for a very long period of time.
