    The numerical model based groundwater level early-warning system:a case study of Linfen basin

    • Abstract:Groundwater is the main source of water supply in many cities of China. Excessive exploitation of groundwater has brought about lots of environmental problems, such as groundwater level declining, land subsidence, and land crack. Research on the groundwater level early-warning system plays an important role in the development and utilization of groundwater resource. This paper suggests a groundwater level early-warning system based on the numerical model for Linfen basin. The result of the research provides a scientific basis for the sustainable utilization of groundwater resource.
